Kitchen of the Week: Bold Navy & White Two-Tone in Derry, NH

This week's kitchen of the week comes from our Cabinet Depot of Derry showroom — a bold, contemporary two-tone design that our team loves. The homeowners wanted something modern with personality, and that's exactly what they got.

The Design

The centerpiece of this kitchen is the dramatic color contrast between the deep navy lower cabinets and bright white upper cabinets. The design features:

• Deep navy blue lower cabinets — a rich, saturated finish that anchors the space
• Crisp white upper cabinets — keeping the room feeling open and airy
• Matte black hardware throughout for a sharp, modern contrast
• Calacatta quartz countertops — white with bold grey veining that bridges both cabinet colors
• White subway backsplash in a vertical stack pattern for a modern twist

The Story Behind the Kitchen

The homeowner had seen two-tone kitchens online and wasn't sure it would work in their smaller galley-style space. Our Derry design team showed them in 3D exactly how it would look — and they were immediately on board.

The navy lower cabinets actually make the kitchen feel more grounded and intentional. The white uppers prevent it from feeling dark or heavy. It's a balance that works beautifully.

Functional Features

Beyond the aesthetics, this kitchen was designed to be hardworking:

• Deep pull-out drawers in the base cabinets for pots and pans
• A tall pantry cabinet beside the refrigerator for dry goods and small appliances
• Soft-close on every door and drawer
